Hi Karl/Claire..

I too was almost taken out by that black lab, I had the one hand on the bar at the time, was putting a cereal bar in my pocket when it ran out in front of me. Re the question of the dog being out of control, there is an offence if any dog is dangerously out of control in a public place and injures a person. Therefore the owner of the dog is liable for prosecution as I can be a witness to it not being in control. The PF may well not want to take this to court however as they might see it as 'not in the public interest' but none the less, if it was me, I would want to make the dog owner responsible for his actions. If nothing else, you may well recover the cost of repair to the bike/loss of earnings etc..

Hope this helps..get well soon Karl

It was just like the first post. Only I never saw the dog coming so couldn't slow down and I have no intention of licking a dogs nuts either!
