Club run news

Some info on the Club Run calendar for the next few weeks:

Club Run start time:
Having tried an 08:00 start for a couple of weeks now, the feed back I've received has been overwhelmingly positive, so it would seem appropriate to make this a permanent change for BST.

Sunday July 17th: This is the same day as the Ballater - Methlick ride, so the numbers on the club run could be rather reduced. I won't be at either, due to being on a hols, so I'd expect that the usual turn-up-and-see-what-happens approach to the route will apply!

Sunday July 24th: I'll still be on hols, so will be looking for a brave volunteer to suggest a route, find a suitable purveyor of bakery products and coffee, attempt to ensure the group sticks to a 'social' pace, while allowing for occasional bursts of chain gang / sprinting / climbing mentalism.

Sunday July 31st: No club run today as you'll all be at the Club BBQ, won't you! I'll have the triple decker bacon, cheese, jalapeno, mushroom chili burger.

Sunday August 7th: Looking for yet another brave volunteer required for this week, as I'll be enjoying the Tour o'the Borders with SWMBO. Apparently, there are macaroni pies at the feed stations - not something we've aimed for on previous club runs, but seem to meet the carbs requirement for longer rides. Surprised that Team Sky aren't putting then in Froomey's musette...

Sunday August 14th: Ythan Goes Off-Road! Dudes, lets shred some sick lines on the sweet singletrack at the Glenlivet trail centre. Totally stoked for the rad cakes at the Coffee Still too, bro. Plaid shirts and baggy shorts mandatory; helmet mounted GoPros actively encouraged (for a totally sick Ythan edit). Detail arrangements re timings and transport to be made nearer the time. Search YouChoob for "how to be a mountain biker" for assistance in translating the above.
