The AWCC Classified 10 mile time trial on Sunday 29th June, is now open for online entries here. ... ssified-10

A Classified race is ran along the same lines as a standard timetrial but it gives more riders a chance of winning a prize.

In a standard timetrial the prizes always go to the usual fast guys , with everyone else racing in the hope of either a pb or a handicap prize.

In a Classified timetrial the race is split into several 'classes' of 7 - 9 riders based on a riders best time over the distance and there is a 'race within a race' for each class.

i.e Class D may be for riders who have a PB between 27:00 and 28:00 and there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd fastest riders within this class.

If there are 50 riders I would hope to split the field into 6 classes making a total of 18 prizes up for grabs.

This race is quite simply the best chance of the year for most folk to win a prize

As an added bonus this year, of you get along early, you can see the Commonwealth Games Baton crossing over Durris Bridge at around 09:00 which is an hour before the race start. :)

The wheel in front belongs to you - Don't lose it!
