Annual Falling Leaves Bike Ride

Deeside Thistle is putting on the annual Falling Leaves Bike Ride on Sunday 03 October. Everyone is invited to take part and those interested should get in contact with Sandy Lindsay on knockies@aol.com as soon as possible to register their name.

There are three distances on offer, 50k/100k/100m. Starting in Banchory from the Scout Hut on Dee Street, it will take in many of our challenging roads. Here are links to the routes: 50kms, 100kms, 100miles. Numbers expected will mean that each distance will have several groups of graded ability.

You'll also be able to ride this event, not only for your own edification, but also to help Kids Action. Kids Action is a local charity headed by club cyclist Alastair Brodie which supports a group of young Africans in Sierra Leone. To this end there will be an entry fee of £10 - that's all, unless you want to raise some sponsorship when details will be provided. We're aiming for 100 riders - at least.

Get your name down by contacting Sandy Lindsay on knockies@aol.com
