The 2013 Ride the North will run from Inverness to Aberdeen over Friday 30th and Saturday 31st August 2013. Now entering its third year, this two-day challenge cycle ride (it’s not a race!) follows a signposted route along the quiet back-roads of the Grampian Highlands between the two great cities of the North of Scotland.
The route features Loch Ness, the Whisky Trail, 3 castles and 165 miles of great Scottish scenery. The two days on the bike are broken up by an overnight stay in Elgin.
The event attracts a true mix of participants with a wide variety of cycling experience. There are refreshment and lunch stops along the way as well as mechanical support, bag transfers, support vehicles and plenty of encouragement from our support team and fellow participants.
It’s a serious challenge, but a fun event.
With 106 riders in 2012, we hope that the Ride the North is set for greater success in 2013. Our nominated charity in 2013 event will be Monty’s Maggie’s Appeal. You can chose to fundraise for Maggie’s or your own charity or just simply ride for the fun of it.
Online registration will open in December, but a registration form along with more details can be found on www.ride-the-north.co.uk. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if we can provide you with any more details.
In the meantime, please pass this on anyone who rides a bike or who might be up for a new challenge in 2013!
