European Escapade

Postby Fiona Fudge » Wed May 25, 2011 1:40 pm

Hi all, here us the next installment if my tandem racing exploits.

Lora and I are off to Italy on Thursday for a race this weekend, then we go straight to Switzerland for a race the following weekend. Then finally we go to Sergovia, Spain for the 2nd round of the Road World Cup.

So far, I have made it safely to Manchester through gale force winds, train cancellations and Icelandic Ash. Hopefully We will be safe to fly tomorrow.

Lora and I were 4th in our RR yesterday and 3rd in our TT this morning for an overall 4th place in the GC at The Piacenza P1 event.

It has been a hard 2 days racing for us with lots of learning for me to take away for the next event. We are off to Switzerland tomorrow... bring on the Toblerone

First win on the tandem for Lora and I today, 1st in the TT and 2nd in the RR bunch sprint to take 1st over all in GC at the P1 Para-Cycling race in Gippengen, Switzerland.

We managed to put some of the lessons we learned last week to good use... Next stop Sergovia, Spain for the 2nd round of the Road World Cup.
