Longer club run

Where are WE going this weekend? Keep this to Ythan runs only please.

Longer club run

Postby Scotty » Tue Feb 25, 2014 9:44 pm

Just wondering if anyone fancied a longer club run in the next few weeks, maybe 60 to 70 miles. Not sure about the pace, will just see what the weather is like, ie windy. Thinking about going out slightly earlier to get home at a decent time.

I'd be up for that, here this weekend but away weekend after. Up and down thru March as may be away with work.

Is 70 miles just a normal club run? Or is it just me ;)

Andy you make a good point, our 70 miles is 90 for you, I'll try and factor that into the route so you can peel away. I'm not allowed out early this week but let's plan for the 16th of March and hopefully more people will come along. I'll try and sort out a 70 mile route, including the Suie Hill?

I would be up for it as long as its at a controlled pace not on the front and sprinting off.

16th March is the Dick Londragon RR at Finzean on the Cairn O'Mount/Monument course, why not ride over to watch. Don't make it too long though, important football match on in Glasgow that afternoon

Sounds good.

Like Russ I pretty much away for the next 3 weeks. Stag do, rugby trip with clients and London for an exhibition will use up all my March passes.

Scotty, I don't mind 90 miles as long as I'm prepared for it, and potentially a cheeky espresso stop always helps :)

Scotty I'm keen for a longer steady paced ride. There are a few options for the Sui from Ellon, if that's the plan. Coffee at Chapel O'Garioch is an option too.

Post when you plan to do it & the time for start.
