Lost Garmin Cycle Computer - Sun 18th Aug

Postby David R » Sun Aug 18, 2013 2:50 pm

Just to say I got back safely to Ellon but minus my Orange & Blue Garmin Cycle Computer.

Whilst I looked around along the A947 (where I was aware a had bit a bump hard and very shortly after noticed the Garmin was missing), and not finding it I went all the way back to the last stop at around 77km distance, but I never did find my Garmin computer. It seems the arm of my K-Edge adapter sheared off and it and the Garmin fell off. I can only assume it must have bounched into the long grass beside the road somewhere Did anyone noticed it or something fall from my bike ? If so could they say where precisely (map ref ?) or even roughly .

Apart from that it was a really nice ride today (enjoyed the tail wind home !)

Hi Dave.

I thought I saw something white/cream/orange on the road 100yds back from where you stopped. I went back this evening to have a look but I think it was just a cats eye I saw now.

I had a look on the road and grass verge where I thought I saw something but nothing to be found. Really fast bit of road and it could have bounced anywhere.

Sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear you didn't find your Garmin Dave  I rode across to Ellon so don't have a synchronised distance. Check Colin's Strava download for a better search distance.

Good luck it's a tough one to lose your trusted mileage tracker.
