Todays run

Postby Colin A » Sun Feb 26, 2012 5:31 pm

Lovely weather. Not a long run due to the mechanical issues but everyone got home safely- eventually.

I didn't fall off today-

A few people have asked about the second incident I had a few weeks back. :(

So here it is. This footage was taken with the camera on the handlebar mount Personally I think the camera on the helmet gives better footage when you fall. There seems to be more scope for getting flailing legs and arms in the film.

Another lesson here, take note of the warning signs on the road just before the corner. And what is that DM says when I pick the bike off the ground?

GP tells me there are heaps of skid marks at that corner now (not just mine) where cars have been caught out by the slidey stuff on the road.
May I remind you of that scene

Good run today....15 or so riders out, light winds and sunshine....nice!

I flatted too on the last loop after I left, started as a slow, thought I'd make it home, then dinged into a pothole and had to change out.....about 5 miles from home

54 miles on the 2nd ride of the year, so neigh too bad a start.......good to see new faces and old ones too ;)

Nice dismount Col!

Looked like the back wheel stepping out on you? ...... New tyres? Or I'll buy that dodgy Cannondale off you? ;)

OhhhhhYaaa, that must have been painful, nice choice of music, something from a 70's XXX movie....

Managed to get out today, wrong choice of clothing was absolutely boiling by the time I got back neat to Tarves.

Nasty fall colin looks like you were going at it with hammer and tongs. Does this mean there's going to be a prize at next years presentation for the person with the most dramatic crash?

Colin - I think this camera is weighing you down and causing you to lose your sense of balance. I'll buy it from you for £20 - well it has been in 2 documented crashes.

Either that or - have you thought about stabilisers. They'd look really cool with your Scott bike and Zipp wheels on a Sunday club run.
