Age categories for 2013

Postby megamouth » Wed Mar 06, 2013 7:46 pm

Hi folks,
Age categories for this year and maximum gear ratios are set out below. The maximum gear ratio is how far one complete revolution will move the bike when it's in it's highest gear - but they can be restricted using the adjuster screws on the derailliuer.

Don't worry if it sounds complicated, we'll show and explain on Saturday morning. However when you go to a race it's best if you have it set correctly beforehand (much less stressfull for competitors and commissaires.) :D

Youth E Under 8 born in 2005 or later Until 31st December of year in which 8th birthday falls 5.1 metres

Youth D Under 10 born in 2003 or 2004 From 1st Jan of year in which 9th birthday falls to 31st December of year in which 10th birthday falls 5.4 metres
