In-House Cycle Ride Training Scheme
This scheme is free to Aberdeenshire Council staff and volunteers
This two day in-house training course is mandatory for all council employees planning to lead groups on cycles either on or off road unless they hold a nationally recognised cycling qualification. On successful completion of training, the course tutor will sign off log books to specify the areas and routes where individual staff can operate with groups of up to eight people. These areas will be restricted to terrain that is designated as LOW LEVEL (below 300 metres above sea level) and are likely to include public roads, simple paths and tracks that are close to public roads and possibly some specified forest trails. The standard of riding is technically non challenging but participants should have some experience of using bikes on roads and easy off road trails.

Dates:
8th - 9th March 2011
28th - 29th May 2011
13th - 14th August 2011
8th - 9th October 2011

Cost: F.O.C to Aberdeenshire Council Employees and Volunteers
