New training mornings

Saturday 16 October. Must have been the holiday's Chris, Zak and Adam were the only ones there today but weather was great and again another excellent session by coach Chris. Chris's first training session on his new roadie too. I think Zak was pleased there weren't many people there to view his closing piece to the session. I guess he's a true Ythanite now he's crashed too. More pride hurt than anything else - but I think he'll be taking the advice he's been ignoring so far - wear gloves. Apart from a few nasty grazes he and his bike both ok and ready for the club run tomorrow!
2 more sessions in this set to go so lets hope there are more participants next Saturday.

Yep, holiday season. Robbie and I will be back next week. Was in R & A cycles today. So much bike porn in one place. How I managed to keep my credit card in my pocket I'll never know.

She stayed uptown hitting the shops with Rachel. Robbie and me hiked off to Brooklyn to find the shop. Not much to look at from the outside but inside it was crammed with carbon gorgeousness. FIrst time I've seen Di2 in the flesh as well.
They didn't have any orange handelbar tape though.

Colin, Probably just as well you werent here this morning or we would have been picking you off the tarmac as well if you had caught sight of Zak's blood. We only had 6 plasters and we needed them all! Hope Zak's not too sore, took quite a tumble.

This morning's session was the last of the training sessions run by Chris. He now has to put his report together and is down to Edinburgh for an assessment in a cople of weeks time.

Thanks Chris for some very enjoyable sessions.

Peter Clark has offered to do two more sessions at the area behind the school and then do some indoor turbo sessions with the QL.

Next weeks sessions will be about start line preparation and choosing the right gear for starting off at TTs and track. (how many off us goo off too hard only to run out of steam?)
