Presentation TT

Postby John Hunter » Sat Mar 27, 2010 1:01 pm

Afternoon all, just home.

Well done to Shelley for organising the event, from what I saw all seemed really good, lots of marshalls and clear signals.

Shame about about the wee gusts of wind.

Young Liam did a cracking ride today, really impressed with him sticking with it and racing all the way round on what I thought was a hard course and day. Keep it up lad, you'll be the one doing the catching before we know it.

See you all next time :)

Good race today, liked the changed course with the hills much further into the course, let me get some speed out on the flat first.

Not sure riding fixed was the way to go as I was pedalling squares on some of the uphil sections and the back of the course was tough into the wind, as it was for everyone, I expect. I was spinning out on the downhill section after Midmar to the finish and it was frankly terrifying as I was not feeling at all stable at 37 or 38 mph with a bit of cramp coming into the hips and thighs at the time.

Good ride from Bill considering he had a bit of an episode through the week whilst training and was unsure what he could produce. Russ also put in a good ride considering he has a beard!

Agree that Liam did well as it was a tough old day over those lumps and into that blustery wind.

Well done all and thanks to Shelley and Ian and her band of helpers and officials for an excellent event.

Andy, Thanks for posting the results. great to get the first race out of the way, tough conditions, well done Liam, hard going into that wind and over the hills, there will be easier events this year, I am sure of that...Good ride ;)

a measure of the wind is that for the first 9 miles I was about 22 mins, for the next 9 i was about 33 give or take
