Levens 10th Apr

Postby Bill » Mon Apr 05, 2010 4:43 pm

Myself and John will be flying the Ythan colours at Levens this Saturday. 157 riders on the start sheet  Carlos and Christine are also riding. Hopefully this time I won't get lost

Good luck both, hope you get a good day for it.

Seems to be a course where people set fast times but you need the legs and lungs no matter what.

Hopefully a PB for each of you.

John, Running about 200m parrallel to the West of the A591 there is an unmarked road/lane (with a layby) to the North of the A590, if you zoom in on the map it shows the road meeting with "Nannypie Lane". The layby is where the sign on is, you just have to find a place to park along the lane, it will be quite busy and you are not allowed to park at the pub which is further down the lane.

It is about 1KM from the strip to the start. Look out for the red van and I will put the kettle on. There are no facilities at all at the strip short of a few bushes

Sign on is very relaxed and if it's like last time there will be a results board up at the sign on which is continually updated, they don't read out all the results at the end probably because there are 157 on the SS.

Good luck, hope to see you there, I am off around 2:45.

John,

Yes, just roll up and sign on, leave yourself plenty of time though for parking etc. Forecast is looking good I think. :)
