Entries coming in now for the races. entries are now on line as well.

I have some helpers but need heaps more. If you want to volunteer drop me a line. I will save me a phone call.

Oh and I only have one name for the 5 person Ythan team for the senior race.

Still waiting for a team for Ythan, GC and Aberdeen Wheelers for the senior crit. You can mix it up with males, females and youths if you want. It's meant to be a showcase for the District clubs on a closed road in front of spectators who dont normally see bike racing that close up.

Lots of Youths coming up from Edinburgh and some guys from Perth. Will Zak get his revenge for Alford?

Thanks to everyone who volunteered for helping out. This year there will be marshal briefing evening the week before the races.

I did wonder if this might not be the most heavily subscribed race, for various reasons. (see GCRT RR thread - wonder if some might be put off at getting pumped within a few minutes of starting in a Crit where GCRT and the best other riders from ADCA might be present - personally I don't think they should be put off by that - but it might have a bearing)

I take it only DTCC have made any contact, then?

Perhaps an 'all-comers, fun race' would be the way to go with this one?!?

Perhaps allowing the Youth A's who rode in the race before it, to go again if they want, with a mix of folks who wanted to ride the adult crit. - no prizes or anything - just a bit of fun?

Deeside put in their team at the end of June. It will be a real shame if the seniors race doesn't go ahead. Are the other clubs playing hard to get or truly not planning on putting in teams? If its the latter and you wanted to open it up I am sure more riders will enter.

this is the 1st i knew of it being open to seniors, trouble is there is the Wanlockhead RR, the Kermesse RR, the Vets RR and the Junior Tour Of Wales on this date, so i am guessing because it was not really advertised as an open race there will be no-one entering it, I know Craig is in Wales, Keith and myself are doing the Vets and Simon and Veli are doing Wanlockhead, not sure about the other guys, maybe with us lot gone the door is open for a budding district star to come to the fore ;) :D

A message was put out to all the district clubs as an invite to put a team of five in for seniors. It was also discussed at the last district meeting.
