OLD SKOOL TT Start Sheet for 04/07/2012

Postby Andy D » Sun Jul 01, 2012 3:10 pm

Distinct lack of entries, though the race will go ahead even if we get no more than those who have entered in advance.

I have fielded numerous enquiries from those who intend to enter on the night, as many as 15 or 16, so expect to see many of them and more. Here is the rather sparse start sheet in advance though, for what it's worth:

Race start time 1900 hours (1st rider off at 1901 hours) - FOR THOSE ENTERING ON THE NIGHT - bring a race entry form and the sign on closes at 1845 hours on the dot.

Shocking state of affairs! only 2 from the GCRT!? only 1 Wheeler and only 1 ythan? come on folks u have to enter these events as thats how events get cancelled, saying ur are going to ride is not good enough.. at the moment there will be more helpers than riders!

Considering that 90% of ABZ riders are supposedly TT riders then i was expecting a field of 50+

Have to agree with Ali, surprising I have had so few entries on the mat after my return from Manchester.

Will be a great event anyway and we got great feedback from last year's event, so expect many of the same faces returning this year.

If there wasn't incentive enough already to ride the Ythan OLD SKOOL TT on Wednesday 04/07/2012, I will be there with the latest kit order to distribute.

So if you want your Ythan kit at the earliest opportunity, this is it.

Andy

HQ is given as AB54 7UP on the british cycling website. This might be putting some folk off.

What are the rules? Does everything have to be hand knitted?

I know that the HQ postcode is wrong on BCF site (what's new!?!) but I would hope common sense would dictate for local riders that 'Ythanbank' is not away up near Huntly?!?

Everything has to be hand knitted and in black and white (unless our resident photographer - Nick Thom, has access to photoshop to add the sepia tones)

When has common sense ever had anything to do with cyclists? I'll put a link to the map when I get home. Got to go now lights are changing on union street. ( only joking)
May I remind you of that scene
