Etape Caledonia warm-up weekend! (around angus...) 30th of april and 1st of may.

Were having a wee weekend hopefully getting competitors of the Etape Caledonia ready for the big ride! If your not taking part in the etape your still welcome! The plan is to ride Saturday and Sunday, with a meal out on the Saturday night locally....
Its aimed at all types of road riders...but mainly at folk who haven’t ridden in a group over a distance, all you need is a road bike/helmet and sufficient fitness to ride for over 3 hours.

The plan is to have a ride on the Saturday of 65 miles.relatively flat then in the middle we’re going to climb the cairn’o’mount a famous local hill, scoot back down and have some lunch then ride back.
Sunday will consist of 2 seperate rides, one setting off from the stonehaven shop and one setting off from Arbroath.the plan is to meet up for lunch halfway between and then do a loop together and then head back...again around 50-60 miles.

Both days will have full support, start and finish mechanics to check the bikes/tweak any last things,a pre ride briefing/maps, a broom wagon to pick up any stragglers, first aiders, energy products, a couple of industry people(to be confirmed!)we’ll also have very experienced racers(one pro triathlete!) in amongst the group to give tips/pointers.

The weekend cost is £35 which will include lunch both days, liability insurance, full event support.(it doesn’t include transport outwith the event/accommodation/Saturday night meal)
If only available to do one day the cost will be £17.50.... the best place to stay locally!.... normally £100 per night b&b £55 per night if you mention “cycleworld” similar prices,£30 for single similar prices...
all accommodation has availability but i would recommend booking early...

To take part all you need to do is make payment in full before the 4th of april and let us know wether you’ll be coming for dinner on the Saturday night..its at this place ... aurant.htm

Any questions just get in touch with either shop
