Tour de Cornerstone

Postby vekur2001 » Mon Sep 06, 2010 1:17 pm

In aid of Cornerstone and Cornerstone’s cycle challenge, Norman Skene, Keith Robertson and I are planning to cycle between our sponsor's, Ledingham Chalmers', three offices over two days. The three of us intend to cycle from the Edinburgh office to the Aberdeen office on Thursday 23 September; and from the Aberdeen office to the Inverness office the following day. The planned routes are as follows:

http://www.mapmyride.com/route/gb/edinb ... 2635632898

http://www.mapmyride.com/route/gb/aberd ... 2724163995

Whilst we will no doubt enjoy the cycle as a wind down to the season’s racing, the real intention is to raise as much money for Cornerstone as possible. I have set up a “just giving” website (http://www.justgiving.com/Veli-Matti-Raikkonen), and I would be grateful for every donation, however small or large. We’re aiming at a target of £2000.

That's a good idea Veli.

Ledingham Chalmers' mileage figure so far is not very impressive, are you the only one in your office who is actually cycling??

I think there's quite a few folk riding. Whatever mileage they have recorded doesn't include any of my mileage. That reminds me - I'll have to let them know the miles I've done.

Talisman are doing this. I've to submit my miles weekly on Friday. I wonder if I should include the pedal car miles?

No! A pedal car is not an approved cycle in terms of the Challenge!

No cheating from the Talisman Devils please.

Ali your miles will surely go towards Baker Hughes' mileage. I assume that they have entered...

Thank you very much to everyone who has donated monies towards our Cornerstone cycle. It really is greatly appreciated. Please keep on making those donations. It is all for a good cause. The address is: http://www.justgiving.com/Veli-Matti-Raikkonen

If we reach the target before the 23rd, we'll get Skeener over the Lecht, even if it takes a doughnut on a stick ;)
