Hi folks,

I know you have been delaying renewing your membership of Ythan CC until the end of the year and we got sorted out with British Cycling (BC) and their new on-line system.

We are about to go live with the British Cycling’s new club page system and therefore all our memberships will be done through BC. E-mails from the club etc. will also now come through this way.

Can I ask you to now join Ythan CC through the membership page at British Cycling at this link:

http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/club/p ... ub_id=2849

This link will take you to the Ythan CC Profile page and on the top right hand side there is a red button for “Buy Club Membership”. Please follow the instructions on the page to join. Ythan CC membership runs from 1st Jan to 31st December. By joining now you will be a member throughout 2014.

Ythan Cycle Club 2014 Membership costs;

Youth £4 + £1 to BC = £5
Senior/Vet £14 +£1 to BC = £15
Family membership £29 + £1 to BC = £30

Thanks for your patience while we got this sorted out. If there are any issues with joining through this way please get back to me and I’ll try and find out what the issues are.

NB,

1/ If you would prefer to pay by cheque or by BACs transfer then please contact Yvonne our treasurer.

2/ If you are at renewing your membership please do so by the 31st of January. After this time the “early bird” promotion will end and renewal payments will increase by £5. This is to allow the club to know what budget we are working to next year.

3/ You don’t have to be a member of British Cycling to be a member of Ythan CC but we do encourage it. If you intend to do any racing then we suggest you take out a “silver” or “gold” membership of BC. If you are just riding your bike then the “ride” membership is for you.

The benefits of BC membership are laid out on this link. The benefits to the club are that the more BC members we have the more influence we have with Scottish Cycling and British Cycling.

Regards

Colin Allanach
Chairman – Ythan CC

Yes Paul, ask Yvonne if you can save a pound by writing her a cheque and you won't even have to buy a stamp

Jim,
You should just be able to buy membership without being a member of BC.

Paul,

yes we discussed this at the committee meeting. Membership fees to all our members will remain the same whether they go through BC or by using the more traditional method. e.g senior members will pay £15.

PS. I have a direct line to the guy who is developing the scheme so if you have any issues get back to me and I'll pass on details.

Colin
