Thanks to everyone who has signed up for the charity club run on the 9th of December. The three routes (100 mile, 50 mile and 25 mile) have a fairly even split of riders. Wendy Parley and Rosie Cooper have volunteered to do teas at the end of the run along with Kay and Jeannette (After they do the 25) . If you are taking part it would be great if you could take along some sandwiches, bakes or biscuits etc for the end of the ride.

I will be announcing the start/finish point soon (just waiting for a confirmation e-mail) but the routes will remain a secret right up until the night before. Does anyone want the routes sent to them as GPX files so they can use their phones or Garmins?

Hopefully I will have a few other surprises in store. We will also have some visitors from Scotland's newest cycle club (Deveron CC) to bolster the numbers so please make the welcome.

If you haven't said you are coming along - why not?

Latest news is that we have the Ellon Scout hut to start and finish from. Thanks to Gordon for setting that up. The Scout hut is On Millwood road, just along from Graham Parley's hoose and over the road form Auchterellon Primary school.

Colin - what about paying for this?

As Macmillan is a recognised charity it would be possible to get giftaid, either through a site like justgiving or with forms with names and addresses. Every little extra helps!

OK, First bit of information - here is the 25 mile route. Actually its slightly longer than 25 miles. But everyone should manage it fine. Good long flattish start to warm up before some wee hills kick in. Those that did the Rotary bike ride in the summer will recognise the route. Remember there are no signs or marshals so its up to you to know the route.

The 50 and 100 routes will follow during the week - just to kep the suspense up :P

I'll announce full details and proper start time later as well. I am looking for all the riders to finish within an hour of each other so the 100s will go off early in the morning (you may need lights for a while). The 50s will go off later and the 25s later.

Can everyone who is coming take along some bakes or cakes or sausage rolls or something to have at the end in the scout hut.
