Ythan Charity Club Run

Postby Colin A » Tue Oct 30, 2012 5:19 pm

Folks I’m thinking of running a Ythan 25 year winter club charity cycle ride on the 9th of December.

This will be a chance for Ythan members and friends to put something back into the community.

Low key stuff with a minimum entry fee of £10 (more if you like?) with all proceeds to Macmillan cancer support.

There will be three distances

100miles starting at 8am
50 miles starting at 10am
25 miles stating at 12am

Hopefully we can all get back about the same time for some coffee and sandwiches.

There will be no marshals on the routes and I will keep the route secret until the day but I will hand out maps to everyone who comes along. Not a race – just a club run with a wee bit more structure and a bit of fun – Highway code rules apply.

What do you think is anyone up for it?

Can you sign up below on the forum so I get an idea of numbers and what to arrange?

Thanks

Colin

Hmmm - there was a time that sort of approach would have worked Mr D ...

25miles will do fine .. Don't want to peak too soon ;)

I'll do the 25 miles and Hamish will probably do the 50.

I could be persuaded to do the fifty (albeit very, very slowly).

Anyone got an adult sized 'tag along' that I could get a shot of :P

I'll go for this - its fine to keep going over the winter. I'll do the 100 as I might need the miles to make my target for the year!
